B1 CEFR English Test For UK Citizenship

The land of UK can be considered as the land of opportunity and this may be the reason that it attracts so many people to come here and settle for the rest of their life. Every year, thousands of people apply for a UK visa but only few of them make their way to this land of opportunities.
This maybe because of government that is taking actions by making the rules a bit tougher for all those applicants who want to come here but are not having sufficient knowledge of English language that might become a hurdle between them and their success while they work as a part of this country. Another rule that has been implemented by the UK government is that every applicant should pass the ‘B1 CEFR English Test for UK Citizenship’ otherwise he may not be granted to stay in this country for the life.
What is B1 CEFR English Test for UK Citizenship?
Basically, the B1 CEFR English test is implemented for all those applicants who belongs to the country where English is not the official language. It consists of two parts i.e. speaking and listening ability of the applicant. This test has been set by ‘Common European Framework Reference’ and can be taken by any board within the UK or outside the UK but it should be affiliated with visa and immigration bodies of UK.
The B1 test is also referred to as ESOL i.e. English for Speakers of Other Language. The test would contain reading, writing, speaking and listening phases and it is also referred to as Achiever for all those applicants who have scored B1 level in this test. This would be divided into 2 parts where first part would be consisting of listening, reading and writing and would last up to 2 and a half hour. The second part of this test would last up to 9 minutes and involve the speaking phase of this test.
Validity of B1 CEFR English Test for UK Citizenship:
Once you have passed the test i.e. ‘B1 CEFR English Test for UK Citizenship’ then you may not need to give the test again in your life. The same test results are valid for the rest of the life of every applicant.
An applicant is asked to take the B1 CEFR English Test only for one time but he/she has to pass the test with acceptable score otherwise the applicant must take the test again in order to pass the test and show that he/she has the knowledge of English language.
Application of this Rule:

The Government officials of UK has set the said condition last year and implemented this condition in the month of October 2013. All the people who have already taken the tests, which were part of the rules, for obtaining the UK visa are free from taking the B1 CEFR English Test for UK Citizenship only if they have applied before October 2013 and already have shown their working knowledge of English language in the previous process. But all those applicants that are applying for a UK visa, it is compulsory for them to take the test and score the set level in order to fulfill the requirement.
