Applying for a Spouse Visa for the UK

Getting the UK visa is becoming tougher as the ration of yearly applicant have been increased in past few years. So to tackle the unpredictable increasing number of applicants, Visa and Immigration office of UK has made so many changes that are purely taken into action for the betterment and ease of all the applicants that want to visit UK and reside here for the rest of their life without involving in any fraudulent way.

Applying for a spouse visa for the UK residency is one of the easiest ways that many people have chosen to stay in the UK for the rest of their life. But, it is essential that the applicant should meet these requirements when applying for a spouse visa for the UK residency as mentioned below
·         The person who is going to apply for spouse or marriage visa should be 18+ years of age
·         The person who is applying for a marriage visa for UK residency should be fit and of healthy mind
·         The person, who is applying for marriage visa, should have a good character when applying for UK citizenship
·         The person, who is applying for marriage visa in UK, should meet the requirements of 'knowledge of English' and 'life in the UK' test
Spouse Visa Requirements:
It is essential for each and every couple, or spouse, who is going to apply for a spouse visa for UK citizenship to meet the following conditions set by Visa and Immigration Office of UK as mentioned below
·         It is essential that both of the people, husband and wife, are intending to live with each other if they want to get spouse visa
·         The applicant should have available and suitable accommodation for both of them in order to get the spouse visa
·         It is essential for all those applicants who are wishing to come to the UK on the basis of spouse visa that they apply for entry clearance before they get a UK visa and enter the country
·         It is advised that if an applicant has already a visa that is valid for six or less than six month to stay in UK then he/she may not change its status to spouse visa
·         If the applicant has issues that are under the limit of 18 years of age then they are allowed to enter the UK as dependents and they would have to apply for the visa with main applicant
·         It is essential for both of the spouses that they should have met in person before applying for a spouse visa if it was an arranged marriage and one of the spouses was residing outside the UK
·         If the spouses are together for more than 3 years outside the UK and they have already passed the life in UK test then they are eligible for ILR i.e. indefinite leave to remain in the UK and they do not need to live in the UK for next two years

·         If the spouses are married to each other for less than the period of 4 years of their marriage then they would be given a probationary time of two years when they apply for spouse visa for UK citizenship and if they still live with each other then, on that basis, the ILR i.e. indefinite leave to remain in UK would be granted to them
